Outdoor Photographer of the Year 2017

ENTER CONTEST

Welcome to the seventh Outdoor Photographer of the Year competition. Once again we have teamed up Fjällräven, but this time we’ve got exciting new prizes on offer, including a Fjällräven Award of £3,000 for the overall winner, and a brand new runner-up Fjällräven Award of £1,000, which will allow you to select a personalised set of ultimate outdoor equipment to suit your photography needs.

Prizes:

The prestigious title of Outdoor Photographer of the Year 2017 is given for the photograph, chosen from the adult category winners, that the judges feel is the best single image entered. The winner will have their photograph included in a special touring exhibition, and will also receive a coveted slate trophy.

The lucky winner of OPOTY 2017 will have the opportunity to assemble, with expert help, their dream collection of Fjällräven kit. They’ll receive a £3,000 Fjällräven Award to get equipment, garments and accessories to enhance their outdoor photography experience. Every photographer is different, and a one-to-one consultation with a Fjällräven UK expert will help you pinpoint exactly what you need from your gear. You won’t have to get everything in one go either, as you can use the award on several occasions to add to your outdoor gear collection, so you can tailor selections to trips you are planning throughout the year.

This year we are pleased to announce a new runner-up prize, the recipient of which will receive a Fjällräven Award of £1,000 – to be used in the same way as the overall winner’s award – and a personal consultation on what gear best suits their needs.

Category winners will each receive a superb Fjällräven Kaipak 38 daypack, worth £170, and £200 cash.

Eligibility:

Open to both UK and overseas readers of Outdoor Photography and members of the general public.
