Magnificent thunderstrikes, pivotal slide tackles, the atmosphere created by the roar of fifty thousand fans; pure elation or shock and disbelief. Moments in football can pass quicker than the blink of an eye. But football photography can trap these happenings; and these magic moments from the beautiful game live on forever.
That’s why Barclays are on the hunt to find the ‘shot of the century’ as they celebrate 20 years of commitment to football. Together with the FPA, they are running a photography competition, with the winning shot receiving £7,500. So if you’re a professional photographer, you can submit up to 3 photographs you’ve taken at either Premier League or Barclays Women’s Super League games since 01/01/2001.

By entering the Competition, each entrant consents to provide to each the Organisers and the Sponsor a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, non-transferable, irrevocable licence (the “Licence”) to use in any form any of the images submitted by such entrant to the Competition, on any of the Organisers’ and the Sponsor’s websites, social media, printed, digital, internal, experiential, in-app and/or any other promotional, marketing, advertising or other materials, media, screens and/or displays, provided always that such usage is limited only to the matters related to or connected with the Competition or its promotion and is not for commercial purposes.
The shortlisted entrants and the winners of the Competition consent to provide the Licence for the period from the date when the relevant image is submitted to the Competition (the “Submission Date”) up until (and including) the expiry of two years from the date, on which the winners of the Competition are announced. All other entrants consent to provide the Licence for the period from the relevant Submission Date up until (and including) the date, on which the winners of the Competition are announced.
Winning photographers may be required to take part in interviews about their winning entry.
