CUPOTY CHALLENGE: Minimal

ENTER CONTEST

The CUPOTY CHALLENGE: Minimal is the third themed contest from Close-up Photographer of the Year.

The winner and a selection of finalists will be featured in Amateur Photographer magazine, with the winner also receiving a £300 cash prize. Shortlisted and finalist pictures will appear in beautiful galleries on our website and in other global print and digital media.

It only takes 2 minutes to register on our website at www.cupoty.com and there is no need to decide on your pictures beforehand or send them in at the same time.

You just need to register by November 30th at 23:59 GMT, and you'll get another 7 days after the deadline to send us your pictures.

We are looking for close-up, macro or micro images of any subject taken with a camera, phone or microscope.

This year's theme is Minimal. So we are looking for clean, uncluttered images composed with few elements in the frame or with harmonious colours. Space around the subject is one way to achieve the minimal look and good balance in the frame is important. Simple lines are effective, while high-key and low-key images will work well for this theme.

The competition is supported by Affinity Photo editing software.

We can't wait to see your pictures!
