The Gaia Festival - Stories of Lands and Food, promoted by the Cultural Association "Anthipodi" of Lecce, in Italy, is the place in which to tell about food and its territories, societies and peoples, traditions and memory, culture ... ultimately the great "intangible cultural heritage", according to the definition of UNESCO.
A Festival that aims to promote the territorial identities of the whole world and to enhance their cultures and typicality through the narration of food and wine traditions and it does so also by promoting and enhancing the talent and quality of the works of national and international photographers to allow them a profitable exchange of experiences, direct confrontation with professionals in the sector and the expansion of skills, as well as increasing the possibility of being known by a wider audience.
The Gaia Festival - Stories of Lands and Food will host the final exhibition of the Gaia Photo Fest, with the best classified photos and projects, and personal by established authors, book presentation, photographic workshops, portfolio readings and the ceremony award ceremony.
The general theme of the competition is Food and Territory: iconography of an indissoluble relationship. A theme that explores the traditions, memory and culture of peoples through photographs that represent iconographic images of the food / territory relationship. Images able to tell the food placed in relation with the Territory of which it is typical and with the Humanity that populates it.
The competition is open to everyone and is spread over two sections:
• Single Photos
• Projects and Portfolios
It is possible to compete in all sections.

Eligibility:
The COntest is open to all professional and amateur photographers with a minimum age of 18 years from worldwide.
Copyrights & Usage Rights:
Each author remains the owner of the copyright on the images; by accepting the competition rules, the author declares that he/she owns all the rights on the originals, on the digital acquisitions and on the elaborations of the photographs sent. By participating in the competition, the author grants the organizing Association the right to reproduce the images, awarded and admitted, in the catalog, in the photographic book, in other publications, on websites and on social profiles for the purpose of advertising the event or the dissemination of photography or to promote / advertise the activities of the association and / or the main sponsor BestGusto.com.
