Images of Resilience: Framing Peace through Allied Vision

The YATA Photo Competition Images of Resilience: Framing Peace through Allied Vision celebrates the power of visual storytelling in shaping public understanding of peace, resilience, and cooperation among allies.
Organized by YATA Germany and YATA International, the competition focuses on photography that highlights alliance, human security, and the lived experience of resilience.

Winning and shortlisted works will be exhibited during a side event of the 2026 Munich Security Conference, followed by a panel discussion titled “Shifting Focus: Mapping the Role of Visual Storytelling in a Fragmented World.” The initiative is supported by Airbus, Deloitte, RENK Group, NATO, Calumet, the Munich Security Conference, and Europäische Sicherheit & Technik.

Participants may submit up to three single images or one photo series (max. 5 images). All photographs must be taken within 12 months before the deadline and submitted in JPEG or PNG format (300 dpi, min. 3000 px long edge) with full metadata.
AI-generated or heavily manipulated images are not permitted; only minimal editing is allowed. All submissions must be uploaded through the official online form.

The competition is free and open to emerging, semi-professional, and professional photographers who are nationals of NATO or Partner for Peace (PfP) countries and currently reside in one of these countries. Minimum age: 18.

Prizes include an MSC-accredited photography workshop with Jan Saurer (@monacoshots), Calumet workshop vouchers, a RENK Leopard 2 transmission model, and covered travel and accommodation for winners during the MSC exhibition.
