Mono Orbit Awards is an international monochrome photography award dedicated exclusively to the built environment.
Edition /01 explores EMISSION - the visible and invisible traces produced by the environments we create.
The theme may be approached literally or conceptually through architecture, infrastructure, industry, construction, transport, energy systems, public space and human-shaped landscapes.
There are no separate photographic categories. Documentary, conceptual and other photographic approaches are considered together through one shared selection process.
One €20 entry fee allows each participant to submit one, two, three or four monochrome photographs. There is no additional fee for the second, third or fourth photograph.

Total cash prize fund - €2,100.
Honourable Mentions may also be awarded. Awarded and selected photography may receive Winners Showcase presentation, editorial features, digital certificates and consideration for future Mono Orbit publications, photobooks and exhibitions.
Eligibility:
Open worldwide to photographers aged 18 and over. Professional and amateur photographers are equally welcome. Monochrome photography only. Submitted work must relate to the built environment and respond to the theme EMISSION.
Copyrights & Usage Rights:
Copyright remains with the photographer. Entrants grant Mono Orbit Awards a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use submitted photographs for competition administration, judging, results, editorial coverage and promotion directly related to Mono Orbit Awards, with photographer credit. No unrelated commercial use without permission.
