Salisbury Landscape Open

The Salisbury Museum is calling for entries for the Landscape Open at Salisbury, their new annual opportunity for artists working contemporaneously within the distinguished genre of landscape painting.

The open call invites artists to submit work within the genre of Landscape, across a range of mediums including painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, moving image, textile, print and mixed media.

Located in Wiltshire at the centre of Southern England, the gallery is surrounded by landscapes and monuments inspiring generations of artists. Given this importance, it seems appropriate that Salisbury Museum should be the setting for an open competition that will celebrate the evolving relationships artists have towards the landscape.

The exhibition encourages the submission of a diverse range of landscapes in a multitude of styles and media, reflecting the multifaceted relationships artists have to place, and the range of talented artists working within the established genre.

Approximately 75 artworks will be selected for the group exhibition.
