With a long standing tradition, Milvus Photocontest is the most important nature photography competition in Romania, exhibiting extraordinary photographers and images during its previous editions. It is open for worldwide amateur and professional photographers.
Milvus Group along with FORONA (the Romanian Nature Photographers Association) invite you to take part in our competition. We are convinced that the visual power of the breathtaking natural photos is an amazing tool to bring people closer to the values of nature and will help us in our quest to conserve it. We believe that nature photography can raise awareness and make everybody understand the important role that nature has in our life.

Prizes:
Grand prize: the “Milvus” Trophy, 1000 Euro and a 4-day guided photo tour to the photographic hides at Ultima Frontieră, Periparva (Danube Delta) for 2 people;
1st place for each of A, B and C categories: 400 Euro;
2nd place for each of A, B and C categories: 300 Euro;
3rd place for each of A, B and C categories: the “Wild Romania” photography book by Dan Dinu;
Junior Prize: a photography books pack containing “Harghita Magică” by Potozky László and “Vâlcea Naturală” by Daniel Mîrlea;
Impact and Public awards (by Facebook votes): a gift-package offered by Milvus Group.
Eligibility:
The contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers, regardless of nationality and residency. The Junior category is dedicated exclusively to photographers who have not turned 16 by March 21, 2026.
Copyrights & Usage Rights:
By entering the Competition, the participant confirms that the submitted images are personal creations, that he / she is the copyright owner, and that the exclusive usage rights have not been transferred to third parties.
The selected images will be available to use by the Organizer in the context of the Competition and promotional and PR activities related to the Competition.
